Thunder Hole, Acadia National Park

Thunder Hole, where the stairs drop you down into a cut in the rock and the tide works away underneath. There is a small figure at the bottom of the rail if you look for it, and it is the only thing in the frame giving the drop any scale. The sky held that pink for maybe five minutes and then quit entirely. Maine in January asks a lot of you and then pays all of it back in about the time it takes to change a lens.
