Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Massachusetts

Reeds going to silhouette against the last of the light at Parker River, out on the northeast coast of Massachusetts. The refuge matters enormously to migrating birds, and I spent a good part of my Boston years out there with a lens, waiting on something to happen. There is almost no wildlife in this frame at all. Sometimes you go out looking for birds and come back with the light instead, and those years handed me a lot of evenings like this one.
