Fenway Park, Boston
Fenway is one of my favourite ballparks in the entire country. A panorama from the third base side, wide enough to take in the Wall and the grandstand together. Two things get everybody the first time: the Wall is shorter than it looks on television, and the whole park is far smaller than it has any right to be. But the reason I would go back any day of the week is the middle of the eighth, when the entire place stands up to sing Sweet Caroline. Thirty-odd thousand people who mostly cannot sing, doing it anyway, all at once.
