Cape Flattery, Washington
The furthest northwest tip of the contiguous United States, and on my list well before I ever moved to the PNW. The drive out is genuinely absurd. Then the trail starts in deep forest, turns into an easy boardwalk, and a few minutes later drops you onto a coastline with 180 degrees of Pacific in front of you and nothing beyond it. That is the whole country running out under your feet, and it is worth every hour of the drive.
