Reflection Lake, Mount Rainier, Washington

Reflection Lake, doing exactly what it is named for. Come early or come late, when the water has gone completely still, and the mountain arrives twice. I stood there long enough for the surface to settle and the reflection to sharpen up, and it remains one of the few places I have been where the photograph is essentially handed to you.
